Doug began practicing yoga in 2012 to return muscular balance to his body. For many years, prior to developing a consistent practice, Doug suffered from frequent knee pain brought on from a serious knee injury requiring reconstructive surgery. After a relatively short period of consistent practice, Doug’s knee pain subsided and he regained the muscular balance his body needed. Yoga truly transformed his life. The benefits Doug has received from practicing and teaching yoga extend beyond the physical improvements in his body – he is now more mentally and emotionally balanced. These improvements were energized when he began yoga teacher training. Doug received his 200-hour teacher training certificate in 2017. He chose to pursue a second career as a yoga instructor because he wants to share the transformative benefits yoga provides to as many people as possible.
